Our Ministry Strives to Strengthen the Spirit Guided,
Inseparable Bond Between Music and Worship
Brown Road Baptist Church enjoys singing together each Sunday morning in a blended-style, with a leaning towards the traditional hymn. Most songs can be found in the hymn book, though we project them on a screen for each service. We lead by a praise team with piano accompaniment. Our sanctuary choir sings once a month as part of our worship service and we have various vocal and instrumental soloists as well as a mixed trio and men’s ensemble who bring us special music on a rotating basis.
Our Sunday evening service is a bit different, with a bent towards the "Southern Gospel" style of music. Also there is a "sing-a-long" time of old familiar songs before the evening worship service.
One Sunday evening each month, our church sets aside a time to share a meal and fellowship together. This has been a great time to bring special music programs to family and friends as well as a great time of singing together.
Our sound booth is equipped with a sound and microphone system that can be adjusted to fit the needs of the congregation including those who are hearing impaired.
Our choir brings special musical programs during Christmas and Easter as well. Check out all the special events below!
The members of the Mixed Trio, sometimes referred to as the Brown Road Trio, have been singing together for 5 years now, but have known each other for the last 15 years, as they all sang in the same church choir and praise team before becoming a trio. Tragic circumstances in their personal lives drew them together to sing and minister to others who were hurting. They sing songs of our victory in Jesus Christ and use the music to bring comfort to others. Their music is of a southern gospel style but they still enjoy singing old hymns and new arrangements of familiar songs. Their desire is to share great music that speaks of God's love for us and our love for Him. They have had opportunities to sing in other churches as well as convalescent homes in the greater Phoenix area.
