Women's Ministry Statement
"Our
purpose is to equip our women toward maturity in Christ; fellowship with one another; service through our church; sharing
Jesus with family, friends and others; and involvement in missions locally and around the world."
Our
Women's Group gathers every Thursday, at 10:00 A.M., in the Activity Center, to open God's Word and discover truths
that are as relevant today as they were 5000 years ago. We believe Bible study and a daily quiet time with the Lord, are key
to spiritual growth and a balanced life. Our teacher, Michele Birschbach, adds
great insight to our studies.
We are currently studying Genesis. All ladies are invited to embark on this fascinating
adventure. Together, we'll discover truths, so pertinent to our lives today. Bring your Bible and enjoy good fellowship and
grow together in the Lord with us. The Bible teaches us that God's Word is for everyone. Therefore, there are no
fee's, and of course, all women are welcome.
THE JOY BOX MINISTRY
We reach out to the women of Brown Road Baptist Church and make new friends with women in the community
that are ill, in the hospital or going through a crisis. We bring hope and encouragement in her time of need.
What is a Joy Box?
It is a handcrafted keepsake box containing 7 small wrapped gifts, (one for each day of the week). Each
has a scripture of encouragement attached to it. Also included is a card from Women's Ministry that has been specially
selected for her. The completed JOY BOX is delivered by a volunteer team who minister to her through prayer and personal contact.
We gather once a
month for a wonderful time of fellowship and to lovingly design and assemble each JOY BOX.
